We (Lopta Film) are an independent company created by a small circle of passionate filmmakers who share the ambition to make movies for an international audience.

Guerilla’s Blood is the idea of a drama/martial arts genre mix. The story takes place shortly after the end of the apartheid regime in South Africa and is about a friendship between a black and a white. In the course of the story they get separated, become mercenaries and years later they are enemies as they find themselves fighting for different sides.

For this project we wanted to test and showcase martial arts scenes which apply to a rather dramatic and realistic story. We shot 10 minutes of test-footage for just 1000 Euro in Berlin. From that footage we edited this teaser and made it seem like a finished movie to get people interested.

Fun fact: Swen Raschka, the white actor, also had a small part in “Inglourious Basterds”… Check it out - he is the one reading the paper in the jailbreak scene!

Next summer we are shooting a horror feature called “No Hell Lies Beyond”. Maybe we can send you a DVD some day.
